My Guest Post|Mental Health In The Workplace: To Tell or Not To Tell
I had the pleasure of working with Christy from When Business Inspire and I would love to share the Guest Post that I wrote for her site. Unfortunately, there is no reblog option so I am just going to share the link with you all. It is called: Mental Health In The Workplace: To Tell or Not To Tell. It is advice based on the many experiences I had when it came to having to reveal my mental illness to different employers for a variety of different reasons. It has a pros and cons list for what could potentially happen if you needed to discuss your mental health disorders with your boss.
To be honest guys, this is my first real guest post and I am so excited to be able to share this with all. Please click on the above link to view this article. Please let me know what you think. Feedback is always appreciated around here.
Have any of you’s ever had to disclose your mental illness at your place of employment? If so, how did it turn out? Even if you have never had to discuss your conditions, what do you think about telling your boss this kind of sensitive personal information? I would love to hear from you. Sound off in the comments section below.

Great post! I’ve had mostly positive experiences disclosing to coworkers, but the opposite with managers.

Thank you for sharing, your post was very well thought out and written. I’m currently struggling with telling my employer, (or at least HR) about my mental health issues. I’ll take your advice and weigh the pros and cons for my situation.

Super-congrats on writing an excellent guest post for such a big site!!!!
Despite popping 600 mg of Advil, I still feel another freakin’ headache coming on (this is strange; headaches are rare for me!😱) so I’ll make this comment short-but-sweet for the Sweet Sam! 🍬🍰
p.s. If I don’t email back ’til tomorrow, you’ll know it was only because I felt like💩!

Thank you so much! And I am so sorry that you are getting these awful headaches lately. I know how much they suck! I hope you start to feel better! It’s no issue if you don’t get back to me until tomorrow. Maybe try to get some rest or take a nap and put a cold rag over your eyes and forehead. Feel better!
