Halls of Horror Haunted Attraction

Halls of Horror Haunted Attraction

I am so happy that my friend asked me to go to the Halls of Horror with her in Palmerton, PA. I had such a blast. I was worried about my heart rate for nothing because it had actually dropped to 65bpm instead of rising like a normal person’s heart rate should when they are scared or anxiety fueled!

This was my first time at a haunted attraction. I much say that I highly recommend putting this place on your bucket list. It is so worth it. My friend was able to get tickets for the original haunt for just $16.50 a piece with Groupon. I believe regular price is $20. They also have the Blood experience for $35 a piece. I was completely satisfied with just the original haunt. I think the other way is much scarier and much, much messier! They at least give you a t-shirt with the blood one to put over your clothes!

My friend gave a tip and told me that the more frightened you are, the more they will pick on you, especially since you sign away your life and they are allowed to jump out and touch you.

I only screamed once, and that was because I got tickled until I couldn’t take it anymore and I actually screamed – but with pure laughter! I kept in mind what my friend said and instead of appearing frightened, I actually started laughing hysterically. One character even reached around me and I hugged him while still laughing hysterically.

Going with Candace was a piece of cake because I made her walk ahead of me and I clung on to the back of her shirt. Partly because I didn’t have my glasses and areas of it were pitch black, and partly because I was terrified to go first! I jumped quite a few times, but I was just laughing so hard!

It was definitely worth it. I am so glad that I didn’t let my anxiety get the best of me. It probably also helped that I took a Buspar before I got there. (My anti-anxiety medication.)

When I got home, the bottom of my pants were covered in fake blood despite having not gotten the blood experience. I still had a little fake blood and costume makeup on my hoodie as well. I heard it just washed right out though!

The characters really get up in your face there, and they would say the most off the wall things! It is 18 and over, and I can definitely see why! At one point, I had fake poop shoved in my ear! 😂💩

Well, I am going to great ready to relax for the night. It’s after 11pm!

Until Next Time…

  1. Oh my God, this sounds like you had a complete blast!

You must admit that’s ironic & funny that your heart rate DROPPED!!!!!!
I was worried about you going to this for the heart rate reason, but it turned out to be fine – thank God!

I’ve been to a couple haunted houses before and I loved going to them (although I was very scared) but they weren’t as freaky or as in-your-face as the one you went to- plus they weren’t professional.

I love the picture of you! 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

    • I definitely had a blast! It was so fun, I can’t believe I got tickled until I screamed! I am glad I went.

Thank you so much for caring, Dyane. Seriously, it means the world to me. 😍 I was incredibly worried about my heart rate elevating, so I was definitely shocked when I realized it had actually dropped! That was insane! Thank God everything turned out great with that!

At the Halls of Horror, they told us that people drive from all over the country to see their attraction. One couple came from North Carolina and went through the blood experience 4x! I heard with that experience that they don’t hold back so I can only imagine how scary that one must have been!

And aww thank you. I emailed you some pics that didn’t make it on here! 🎃🎃🎃
