The letter addresses the writer’s absent father, expressing pain and resentment for his neglect and alcoholism. Despite the hurt, she seeks closure and empowerment, embracing faith and resilience. She shares her determination to build a happier future while acknowledging the support from her partner and chosen family. The writer also reflects on the harmful impact of addiction and expresses gratitude for positive influences from her past.
This is a topic I don’t necessarily like to talk about as it’s difficult to talk about much less then writing about it. So a bit of a backstory before I jump into it. I was diagnosed back in 2014 with Borderline Personality Disorder.
