Press Release – My Bipolar Mind: You’re not alone

December 31, 2018 – Author Samantha Steiner’s new book, “My Bipolar Mind: You’re not alone,” just released by Eliezer Tristan Publishing, is a must-read memoir that takes the reader through a brutal journey of mental illness and addiction, ending with a resounding message of resilience and hope.

“My Bipolar Mind is a compelling journey into the depths of the bipolar soul. Samantha Steiner’s raw, heartfelt writing permeates this powerful memoir. My Bipolar Mind will bring comfort to many people who are feeling down. Samantha’s experience will help readers feel less alone when darkness takes over their mood. She describes some of her key coping tools such as mood tracking and journal writing. (When she pursues her dream to write professionally, her stint as an unappreciated ghostwriter is fascinating!)
Anyone who struggles with mental illness, either directly or as a caregiver, will gain insight from Samantha’s story.  Despite the lows and highs that mental illness brings her, Samantha’s perseverance encourages us to keep going and, most importantly, to reach out for help when life seems hopeless. My Bipolar Mind is a truly worthwhile read.”

My Bipolar Mind started as a blog and transformed into a mental health empire. In addition to this book, the author created a much-needed community of peers who support each other through mental illness. In the United States alone, one in five adults struggles with a mental illness, and 2.8 percent of the population lives with Bipolar Disorder, according to The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH.)

“I want my readers to know that they are not alone in their mental health journey. While no two people are going through the same thing since everyone’s circumstances are different, there are millions of people in this world who have mental health or addiction-related issues that can still relate to what you or I am going through or have gone through. No one should have to fight their battles alone. Mental illness in itself can be a lonely place for many people. That is why I created my blog, the Facebook page and support group, and decided to go through with publishing my book,” says Steiner. Her endeavors prove that there’s strength in community and her words ring true – you’re not alone.

Taking the reader through the worst year of her life, the author illustrates that you can survive unimaginable circumstances and bounce back. Steiner is living proof that better days are ahead after dark ones. She offers encouragement to those struggling, saying, “I want my readers and others who are bipolar or who deal with depression or other mental illnesses to know that when they are having a hard time or cycling through an episode, that it is just that; an episode. Episodes always come to an end eventually and things can and do get better. It may not feel like it at the time, but it will come to an end. There is so much help available in this day and age for someone with a mental health disorder and I want others to be able to take those step in order to get help.” My Bipolar Mind reveals not only struggles but also coping strategies and tools that the author uses personally.

Noting that stigma is a barrier for many, Samantha’s mission is to help defeat stigma by discussing mental illness out in the open with her peer-based social media groups. “I want to bring awareness to mental health and help tear down the stigma that surrounds it, one brick at a time,” she says. My Bipolar Mind isn’t just a book for those living with a mental health condition. An experience from someone who’s been there is the best form of education, and My Bipolar Mind allows the reader an up close and personal look at what it’s like to live with bipolar disorder. This highly-anticipated and extraordinary book has something to offer to everyone.
