Rest In Peace, Gene

Rest In Peace, Gene

On March 13th, 2020 I lost a family member; my cousin, Eugene “Little Gene” Haines. He was only 28-years-old. A young life cut short.
I wasn’t particularly close with Gene, but he’s still family and the loss still hurts. I wanted to get to know him again since I haven’t seen him since he was little due to family drama and issues.
I was so close yet so far from being able to reconnect with my cousin. Now I will never get the chance and that stings.
I was able to reconnect with his sisters, my cousins, Ashley and Johanna. I am particularly close with his one sister, Ashley, and we talk all the time. She’s my cousin and I love her to death.
Ashley misses Gene so much and it hurts me to see how much she is hurting. Her brother was everything to her.
My mom and I are going to plant a memorial spot for Little Gebe in Ashley’s flower bed to pay our respects. Along with that we are going to include a little memorial for my Aunt Laura, Gene’s mom, who also passed away a few years ago.
Little Gene will be greatly missed and I wish he would have known how much we loved him even from a distance. I wish my cousin would have had more time in this earth. He was so young.
Rest in peace Little Gene. We all love and miss you. I hope your in a better place and in heaven with your mom.
