Major Changes are Coming to this Blog Soon- Please Read
By: Samantha Steiner
So as some of you know, I am IN LOVE with writing and always have been. Well, I have been accepted to write for a few different Freelance websites and websites where people can hire me to write for them and I can, finally, start to gain some professional experience and grow a portfolio with all kinds of diverse topics and types of writing formats and styles in it. I am going to have to start at the bottom and basically work for cents on the dollar to gain that experience and I also have to expand what I write about but it will definitely be worth it, in the long run, to do what I love. Although I have written plenty of stuff on various topics in the past, I no longer have access to everything I wrote for one reason or another which means I pretty much have to start from scratch and create all kinds of sample articles, reviews and everything else all over again. I have significant work, a lot of research and endless days of writing ahead of me. I’ve already been manically-literally in a manic episode-writing, applying, researching, learning and reading everything I could find over the past few days that I have neglected almost everything else in my life at the moment.
So what exactly does this mean for this blog? It is no longer going to be JUST a mental health blog because I need another place to show samples of some other types of writing that I can do. It will still have the mental health stuff with it, but it will be more versatile. I will still include personal stories from other people when and/if other people are willing to share.
I am also going to be purchasing a domain name so it will no longer have to have (user).wordpress.com. However, this DOES mean that the whole web address is going to change so I am going to be posting, sending out messages and trying to figure out how to go about changing everything. I am not exactly sure how the whole thing works or if WordPress sends alerts out to my followers (which I would like to thank the followers that I do have!) but I will try to let everyone know in advance. I will post the change on my Facebook as well so anyone who checks this blog out from my Facebook.
Some things that I am thinking about adding to this blog are going to sometimes be based off of what some clients request samples of on the Freelance sites, but will also possibly include, but is not limited to: blog posts, articles, reviews, advice requests, comparative pieces, pros/cons, researching, creative pieces, nonfiction, and opinion. There can be on various topics of my choice, your choice, client’s choice or whoever feels like questing them.
Please continue to follow by blog or even just check it out whenever you can. Please be patient with me during this whole process it is going to be a massive change but I am sure we can have some fun with this. Change is good! I promise to keep up with the regular mental health topics and tips for people that come here and follow me specifically for that reason.
